iPCR protocols

Since we have not had the resources to confirm the insertion site of each stock, we strongly encourage confirming the insertion sites in stocks that you plan on investigating in greater depth.

Below are links to protocols relevant to doing inverse PCR to recover flanking sequences from stocks of the Exelixis Collection.

Here is a protocol to isolate genomic DNA from 5 flies.

Please note that strains whose stock number begins with either c, e or f all contain piggyBac derived vectors (PB, RB or WH respectively).  For these stocks, the following protocol should be used:

iPCR for PB, RB, WH

Please note that strains whose stock number begins with d all contain the XP vector, which is a P element derivative.  For these stocks, the following protocol should be used:

iPCR for XP
